Shared email addresses will not be accepted by the system as email addresses are unique account log-in identifiers.
For privacy, security and protection of each user’s health information and health history:
- Log-in information should not be shared with anyone
- Each user should create and access their own account with their own distinct Login information
- Note: Youth 14 years of age or older are entitled to advocate for their own healthcare and must provide consent for a parent/guardian to intervene on their behalf. See article: Can My Child or Dependent Use Lumeca Health for Virtual Appointments?
In a situation where a couple are both being invited to join a clinic as virtual patients, and they share one email address, they may receive two emails to that shared email address (one for each of them) or the clinic may need a separate unique email address to invite the second person.
- Only one of them may use that email address to create their account.
- If the second person tries to create their account with that same email address, they will receive an error message:
