Patients may invite up to two participants (family members, caregivers or other healthcare providers) to join the video portion of their consultation.
Guests invited by a patient must create a 'Lumeca Health' account and provide a selfie of themselves to have their identity confirmed, before being admitted.

| Option 3: Ask your doctor to invite your guest on your behalf. This is the best option if your family member/guest does not want to or cannot create an account, as guests invited by the healthcare provider or clinic do not require a Lumeca Health account. |
Option 1: Before Entering Your Virtual Appointment
Step 1 - Under Consults, click Upcoming. (Note: if someone from your healthcare provider's clinic has already entered the appointment, you will find it under In Progress instead of Upcoming).
Step 2 - Select the applicable scheduled appointment.
Step 3 - Click Invite Participant.
Step 4 - Enter their email address and their relationship to you, then click Send Invitation.
Your guest(s) will receive an email with the meeting information. Anyone invited by you, the patient, must:
- Use a device with a camera to join
- Create a Lumeca Health account
- Provide a selfie of themselves to confirm their identity and be accepted into the video portion of the consultation
Option 2: After Entering Your Virtual Appointment
Step 1 - Once you have entered your consultation, click the 3 dots at the top of your page, then Invite Participant (on mobile using the APP) or Add Participant (on the WEB).

Step 2 - Enter their email address and their relationship to you, then click Send Invitation.
Your guest(s) will receive an email with the meeting information. Anyone invited by you, the patient, must:
- Use a device with a camera to join
- Create a Lumeca Health account
- Provide a selfie of themselves to confirm their identity and be accepted into the video portion of the consultation
Option 3: Ask Your Doctor To Invite Your Guest on Your Behalf
Step 1 - Once you have entered your consultation, message your healthcare provider in the chat, asking them to invite a participant on your behalf.
Step 2 - Provide them with your guest's relationship to you and their email address.
Step 3 - Your healthcare provider will email the consultation link to your guest.
Your guest(s) will receive an email with the meeting information. They must:
- Use a device with a camera to join
- Click the 'https...' link in the email
- Enable their camera and microphone
- Enter their name and click 'Join'
- Wait to be admitted into the video portion of your consultation
