A healthcare provider may send you an invitation to join a video meeting with them.
- You may join these video meetings whether you have a 'Lumeca Health' account or not, as long as the meeting host allows you in.
- You may join on a mobile device or a laptop/desktop.
The invitation is sent to you by email or SMS text message, and includes:
- meeting title
- date
- time
- quick link (https://...)
- meeting ID
- meeting passcode

Option 1 -
From the 'Home' Screen When Logged Into Your 'Lumeca Health' Account
Step 1 - Go to the Log-in screen:

Step 2 - Login with your email address and password. If needed, refer to Zendesk article - 'Account Login and Logout'.
Step 3 - On the 'Home' screen, click 'Join a Meeting/Join Video Meeting'

Step 4 - Whenever prompted, you should 'Allow' both your camera and microphone.

Step 5 - The 'Join a Meeting' screen:
- If on the web on any device, you should see yourself in video and see the microphone volume bar moving. Note: you are not yet in the video meeting.
- You may test your audio and video equipment by clicking ‘Test Your Connection/ Test Audio and Video’. The test takes approximately 1 minute, then will provide results.
- Type in the Meeting ID and Passcode manually from the information provided in your email or SMS text message.
- As you are logged in, it is not necessary to add your name to identify yourself, as the system picks this up from your account information.
- It is recommended you leave your microphone and camera ‘ON’ - you may turn the camera OFF and/or mute yourself once in the video, if desired.
- If you want your camera/microphone settings and name saved for next time, check ‘Remember my preferences’.

Step 6 - When ready to join the video meeting, click 'Join/Join Meeting'. If you are not part of the meeting host's clinic, you will have to be admitted into the meeting.
Note: If you drop from the meeting or 'Leave Call', you may re-enter the meeting, as long as it is still active and has not been 'Ended'. If needed, see article - Re-Start With a New Video Meeting / Re-Join an Active Video Meeting
Option 2 -
Using the URL Meeting Link Provided in the Email
Step 1: Using the same device you are using to attend your video meeting, open the email or SMS text message and click the 'https://...' quick link sent to you.

Step 2 - When using your mobile device, you may see with the following screen. If you do not see this screen, skip to 'Step 3' below. If you see this screen, choose either:
- 'Continue on Web', OR
- Tap either 'Apple App Store' or 'Google Play Store' and download the 'Lumeca Health' app.
Step 3 - Whenever prompted, you should 'Allow' both your camera and microphone.

Step 4 - The 'Join a Meeting' screen:

- If you want your camera/microphone settings and name saved for next time, check ‘Remember my preferences’.

Step 5 - When ready to join the video meeting, click 'Join/Join Meeting'.
Step 6 - As a security measure, you must be allowed access. Wait to be admitted into the video meeting.
If declined, you will receive the following message. If this is a mistake, contact the meeting host to have another invitation sent to you.
If you drop from the meeting by mistake or due to poor internet, you may re-enter it by again clicking the ‘https://…’ quick link in your email, as long as the meeting is still active.
Option 3 -
From the 'Lumeca Health' Log-In Screen
Step 1 - Go to the Log-in screen:

Step 2 - If you have downloaded the 'Lumeca Health' APP, the first time you access it, you may see this screen. Click the 'Log In or Sign Up' button.
Step 3 - Do not enter an email address or password, create an account or log in. At the bottom of the screen, click 'Join Meeting/Join Meeting Now'.

Step 6 - When ready to join the video meeting, click 'Join/Join Meeting'.
Step 7 - You will be prompted to stay on this page. This is similar to a doctor’s 'waiting room', only it’s virtual. When ready, the host will allow you in and you will be taken into the video meeting.

If the meeting host declines you entry, you will receive the following message. If this is a mistake, contact the meeting host to have another invitation sent to you.
