When using a single monitor on your laptop/computer, you may find it helpful to display documents or applications side by side.
While sharing your screen in a meeting on Lumeca Health, you may want to view and manipulate your shared document while simultaneously seeing the video meeting participants and shared content.
Step 1 - Prior to starting your Lumeca Health meeting, make sure the document or presentation you want to share is open on your computer.
Step 2 - Start your video meeting, then click 'Share Screen' at the bottom of your video screen.
Step 3 - Click 'Window', then select the window showing the document/presentation you are sharing. When ready, click 'Share'.
Note: If the screen that you are wanting to share has audio, use the 'Chrome Tab' option instead of 'Window'.
Step 4 - Split your screen with your document on one half and the video meeting on the other half:
Drag and Drop | Press and hold your left mouse button on the tab with your video meeting. Carry the tab down on the screen and let go of the left mouse button. Resize the screen to fit half of the monitor. Repeat the steps for the document you are sharing and place it into the other half of the monitor. |
Keyboard Shortcuts | While in your video meeting, press and hold the 'Windows' icon. Press the left or right arrow keys on your keyboard. If you press the left arrow key, the window shows on the left side of the screen. If you press the right arrow key, it shows on the right side of the screen. If needed, resize the screen to fit half of the monitor. Repeat the steps for the document you are sharing and place it into the other half of the monitor. |
To customize your split screens:
- Resize the windows by dragging the edges, or
- Adjust proportions with your cursor
To exit split screen:
- Maximize one of the program windows by clicking the maximize icon at the top-right of the screen.
