START & END A VIDEO WHILE IN A MESSAGE
Step 1 - When in an active message, tap the 3 dots '...' in the upper right corner of your screen, then tap on 'Start Video Call'.
Step 2 - Check to enable your microphone and camera and to remember your preferences for future video chats, These permissions grant camera and microphone access within the video itself.
When ready, tap 'Start Video Call'.
You will be taken directly into the video chat to wait for participants to arrive.
END A VIDEO WHILE IN A MESSAGE
Tap the small arrow located within the red button labelled 'Leave Call' on the bottom-left of your screen.
There are two options available for the message host and one option for all other participants:
- End Call for All - Available to message host only - the video will be ended for all participants and they will return to the message window
- Leave Call - Available to all message participants - anyone may leave and return to the active video chat at any time.
Anyone who leaves the video chat will see the message, 'Video Call in Progress'. This message will remain visible and the video will remain active as long as one person remains in the video call, OR until the Message host chooses the 'End Call for All' option. Participants may re-join the active video by tapping 'Video Call in Progress'.
