There are a variety of ways you can safeguard your account. The more measures you take, the less likely you are to put your information at risk. Please see below for some tips and tricks:
Log Out Every Time
When you are finished with using the app, whether on a web-browser or your mobile device, always be sure to log out of your account and close the browser or app before you carry on with your day. Logging out prevents someone accidentally seeing your information if they go to use the same computer, tablet or phone after you have completed your consult.
Never Share Your Password
It is highly recommended that you not share your password with others in order to protect your Personal Information (PI) and Personal Health Information (PHI). It is your responsibility to ensure you safeguard your password.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Lumeca highly recommends enabling Two-Factor Authentication to safeguard your account from unauthorized access. Once enabled, the next time you log in, you will be asked to type in the code sent to your mobile device via SMS.
The following steps explain how to enable two-factor authentication.
Step 1)
Log into your account. Click on "Profile".
Step 2)
Ensure you have entered your personal mobile number into "Mobile Phone (Preferred)" under "Phone Number" in the "Contact Info" part of your profile. If you have not, complete this step now.
Step 3)
Simply click on "Profile" and then scroll under the "Security" section. From there you will click on the "Enable Two-Factor Authentication". You will receive an SMS/text message to your mobile phone.
Step 4)
Type the code you received into the space provided.
Step 5)
Two-Factor Authentication has been successfully enabled. Click "OK" and carry on with your day, knowing you took an extra step to keeping your information secure and private. Congrats!
