As an invited 'Guest', you are likely someone from outside the clinic/organization that has invited you to join their chat message.
As a 'Guest', you:
- Will be invited by email
- Must create a Lumeca 'Guest' account (which differs from a clinic user or patient account)
- Will only have access to messages you have been added to (including 'In Progress' and 'Archived' messages)
- Cannot start new messages
- Cannot archive messages

CREATE YOUR 'LUMECA GUEST' ACCOUNT and LOGIN
Step 1 - Click 'Accept Invitation' in your email.
Step 2 - Enter your account information. The 'Continue' button will remain greyed out until all information is complete. When complete, click 'Continue'.
Step 3 -
A green banner will appear, letting you know your 'Guest' account was created successfully.
Step 4 -
Go to https://lumecaapp.com/app/?screen=login and log in using the email address and password you used to create your 'Lumeca Guest' account.
You will be directed to the Lumeca 'Home' screen.
Step 5 - Set up your notifications (found under 'Account') so you know when:
- You are added to a chat message
- A chat you are a part of is archived
- You are removed from a chat message
FIND AND ENTER A MESSAGE YOU ARE ADDED TO
Step 1 - Click 'Messages' on the left navigation bar, then under 'In Progress', click on the message you wish to enter.
FEATURES OF THE MESSAGE SCREEN
- Name of Message - top of screen
- 'View Participants' - list of invited participants
- See all participant's chat messages and uploaded files

- 'Video Chat' - start a video call
- 'View Files' - download uploaded pictures, videos & documents
- 'Download Transcript' - download a transcript of the chat
START or JOIN A VIDEO CALL
Step 1 - When a video call is started,
By yourself: By other participants:
Allow/Enable all prompts for your camera and microphone.
Step 2 - Enable your microphone and camera and check 'Remember my preferences for future meetings'.
Step 3 - Click 'Start Video Chat' or 'Yes, Accept Call'.
FEATURES OF THE VIDEO CALL
- 'Camera' - click to turn video off or on
- 'Mute/Unmute' - click to turn audio off or on
- Video images of all participants who have joined - selections include 'Full Screen', ' Speaker View' and 'Gallery View'
- 'Participants' - view the names of everyone in the video call
- 'Chat' - open the message chat and continue to type chat messages and/or upload files
- 'Share Screen' - share a screen with other video participants and annotate if desired
- 'Leave Call' - see below
LEAVE A VIDEO CALL
Step 1 - Click the red 'Leave Call' button on the bottom of your screen.
Step 2 - Click 'Yes, Leave Call'. You will return to the Message chat area. Once everyone leaves the video call, the video call will automatically end.
If the video call is still going, you will see a red banner near the top of your screen. You may click this to return to the video call.
LOG OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT
Logout of your Lumeca 'Guest' account in one of two ways:
- Click 'Menu' along the bottom of your screen, then choose 'Logout'.
- Click 'Account' on the left navigation bar, then choose 'Logout'
